SARDINIA ISLAND TOUR

DAY 1 Bonifacio- Santa Teresa- Alghero
Arrival on the ferry from Bonifacio to Santa Theresa.
Your driver will meet you at the ferry port. You will have 45 minutes free for a walk in Santa Teresa di Gallura (no guide).
Departure from Santa Teresa to Castelsardo. Arrival to Castelsardo, 45 min walk in the old town for individual visit (no guide).
Time for lunch, then departure to Monte d’Accoddi.
Arrival at Monte D’Accoddi where you will have about 60 minutes to visit the monument with English speaking guide.
Departure onto Necropoli Anghelu Ruju for guided visit.
After visit, departure onto a famous farmhouse for a wine tasting (approx. 30 minutes).
End of the visit and tasting and departure onto Alghero.
Arrival in central Alghero 3* hotel, check in at hotel.
Free time to explore one of Sardinia’s most beautiful medieval cities, encircled by ancient walls, it’s known for its cobblestoned old center. Its’ Catalan Gothic buildings include the Cattedrale di Santa Maria, with an imposing bell tower, Palazzo Guillot and Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church. The nearby Chiesa San Michele has a colorful tiled dome.
Overnight at hotel in Alghero.
DAY 2 Alghero – Tharros - Oristano
Breakfast at hotel.
Depart in the morning to visit the beautiful Nuraghe Palmavera (dating the Nuraghic civilization, 1500 BC that built more than 10,000 of these monuments in Sardinia. In the center is a meeting room with a reproduction of the Nuraghe and where the Nuragic people met to make collective decisions.)
End of visit and departure to visit Rovine di Tharros 2hrs 30 min taking the coastal road.
Arrival at San Giovanni di Sinisa, time at leisure for lunch.
Visit of the ancient city of Tharros (archaeological site) on the west coast, southern shore of the Sinis Peninsula, near the village of San Giovanni di Sinis.
Tharros with local guide. End of the visit and departure onto Oristano, 30min drive.
Independent evening. Overnight at hotel in Oristano, located in downtown.
DAY 3 Oristano - Su Nuraxi di Barumini - Giara Natural Park - Cagliari
Breakfast at hotel.
Departure from Hotel in Oristano to Giara for a visit which lasts 2 hours.
Late morning going to Barumini for visit of Su Nuraxi and Casa Zapata (Casa Zapata is about 900m from Su Nuraxi).
After visit time at leisure for lunch.
Early afternoon departure onto Castello and museum Las Plassas (about 5km from Barumini). Visit of the multi medium museum shall there be time remaining.
(It’s not possible to visit the ruins of the castle, they are being restored and are not accessible).
Departure onto Cagliari, check-in at hotel located downtown. Evening free time.
DAY 4 Cagliari: Explore Nora and visit the capital Cagliari
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning depart to the ancient city of Nora.
Founded in the VIII century B. C: by the Phoenicians in a beautiful bay, Nora became an important town under the Romans. The city was abandoned after the Vandalic invasions, and little by little was buried by the sand till 1954.You will see the amazing mosaics, the massive thermal pools and the theatre. On the beach of Nora a small church dedicated to the Saint Patron of Sardinia, Sant 'Efisio, was built in the XII century. Enjoy a bit of free time.
Late morning return back to Cagliari for free lunch free.
Afternoon visit of Cagliari with private guide. The capital Cagliari, the "City of Sun" takes its nickname from its mild and sunny climate. After a panoramic drive, with some photo stops at Basilica of Our Lady of Bonaria and Monte Urpinu, enjoy a walking tour of the historical district of Castello. You will see the medieval towers, the Spanish bastions, the Romanesque cathedral of Saint Mary, the old noble mansions. Culminate the day at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Cagliari.
Overnight in Cagliari.
DAY 5 Return back home
Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to the airport by private car with driver only.
