Umbria

Uncontaminated landscapes, immersed in the green of the sinuous valleys, and ancient villages make Umbria an enchanted region.
A land made of hills, mountains and valleys, which is born in the heart of the boot and extends over the middle basin of the Tiber.
Umbria is also the region of Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in central Italy, in whose territory there are still remains of Etruscan settlements, especially in the area of ​​Castiglione del Lago, a place that combines the charm of the landscape natural, romanticism and the quiet of the lake's waters.
From the waters of the Trasimeno you go to the waters of the Marmore Falls near Terni, considered among the most beautiful in Europe.
Among the pearls of the region stands Assisi, which gave birth to St. Francis, patron saint of Italy, and to Santa Chiara. In the province of Terni rises Orvieto, famous for its spectacular Duomo, for the palaces, the medieval alleys and the legendary Pozzo di San Patrizio.
interesting route is that of the famous "wine roads": a journey made of nature, flavors, history and traditions. A trip to the most important centers of Umbria, where, in addition to tasting good wines, you can learn about local food and wine traditions. In fact, there are many artisan shops where ceramics, glass and wood are used: typical expressions of a traditional culture of ancient origins.
Also mandatory a visit to one of the many mills scattered throughout the territory; a way to learn about the great Umbrian oil culture, a pride of all companies, oil mills that have also obtained the DOP Umbria oil.
